Official data reference

Perth aircraft noise monitoring

Updated

Monitor locations, runway coverage and official data tools for Perth residents. Sources checked 1 October 2026.

Perth residents can check official aircraft-noise information before deciding how to address noise at home. This reference brings together the published monitor locations and the tools for checking aircraft movements and monthly monitoring results. It is a guide to the available evidence, not a measurement of noise inside your home.

Perth’s published aircraft-noise monitors

Airservices Australia lists six monitoring locations around Perth Airport. The table records the runway movements each monitor is described as capturing. Runway numbers identify aircraft operating directions; they are not noise ratings.

On a small screen, swipe the table sideways to see every column.

Where to find measurements and flight information

How to use this information for your home

Start with your address in the official portal. Keep a short record of when noise bothers you, which rooms are affected and whether the windows were open or closed. If you look up a particular flight, record its date and time so you can find it again.

When comparing dashboard results, keep the monitor, time period and measure consistent. A monthly result from one monitoring point does not establish the noise at a different property. This guide therefore assigns no measured decibel value to any suburb, street or house.

If you are considering replacement windows, bring that information to the assessment. Ask for the test data for the exact window configuration being quoted and an explanation of the installation scope. The public airport data does not measure the improvement that a particular window would produce in your room.

Method and limits of this reference

Penot transcribed the six monitor locations and runway movements from the Airservices source, checked on 1 October 2026. We have not downloaded or analysed monthly noise measurements. This reference contains no annual averages, suburb rankings or measured glazing benefits, and the monitor locations are not a complete list of affected suburbs. Use the official dashboard for current measurements.

Download the monitor reference as a CSV, including source links and the check date.

Planning a window replacement

Penot supplies complete replacement windows with new frames and glazing. Read our aircraft-noise glazing guide for the questions to discuss at an assessment, and our window cost guide for factors that affect a quote. For your property’s specification and price, contact Penot.
